This ocean drum is made with the spirit of the Kingfisher bird, a magical animal with beautiful plumage. The top is the most beautiful blue and its belly is bright orange in color. A fish looking up out of the water sees only the orange belly that blends in with the sunlight and radiation of the sky. A bird of prey looking down from above only sees the patch of blue that merges with the reflection of the sky on the water.

Ice blue, lagoon green and terracotta brown are the colors that could not more beautifully represent BEING of Mother Earth and the Universe. If you look at the layers, the kingfisher represents blue from the sky, green from all the vegetation on the earth's surface, and brown from the earth itself. The orange glow of its plumage indicates the smoldering of its inner fire and that of Mother Earth. The kingfisher is fused with all that is and represents your deepest being and inner fire.

The kingfisher represents all elements. The fire, as above, as well as the earth by its earthly colors. Air is his play area where he may BE freely, and water provides him with what it takes to exist. Both represented in the blue of his jacket. He is therefore completely in balance and is who he is. Above is below and inside is outside.

As spirit animal, the kingfisher stands for freedom, courage, adventure, and balance. They have a free spirit with wanderlust running in their blood.

The kingfisher knows better than anyone that you have to make an effort for something that you really need in your life in order to feed your inner sense of happiness infinitely. For example, it is important for the kingfisher that he dives fish out of the water, even at the risk of his own life. The kingfisher is not a water bird. It has no webbed feet and its plumage is not fat enough so that it would float if a fishing attempt failed. So he will have to focus very well before his LEAP OF FAITH and start his dive at exactly the right time to catch just that one fish that he needs to stay alive.
