Everything is connected to all and is light and vibration. There is our human connection (two combined people in the centre). The design can be made in one strike without leaving the paper in between, like a cotton string. We are all connected with the earth, the stars, the moon and the sun. And connected with the four elements of water, air, fire and earth. Connected is all: Beneath with above, earth with sky, north with south, left with right, east with west. We are also connected with the sky through our star signs. Each star sign also has its own musical tone, therefore I included that in a 5 line sheet music style ring. 

 

I capsuled it all in a Celtic style ring design and then put it in a tree which is my version of the universal tree of life. Trees are connected to each other through their roots, but also connect the ground with the sky and therefore a tree embodies the connection with all. Furthermore trees are strong and characteristic, but fragile and have colour changing leaves; with their branches they give sun protection and the wind makes them dance and create peaceful sound waves. The leaves help rain drops fall more gently. They clean the air and give nuts or fruits or other nutrients to the soil, humans and other living creatures. They give birds and insects housing space and have blossoms for bees. The tree of life is like the circle of life: holding on and letting go in perfect time and movement; giving and receiving in a balanced matter. And because a lot of trees live long, they carry a lot of wisdom and experience. The circle in the tree almost looks like an all seeing eye, that symbolizes this wisdom carried by the tree branches.

 

A felt covered mallet in the colours of the drum is included.
